What is corporate video production?
Corporate video production is the process of creating video content specifically for a business or organization. This type of video is usually made to promote a company’s products or service, enhance its brand image, or communicate with customers, employees, or stakeholders. They’re usually found on the web, or digital ads on YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Here’s an overview of the main tentpoles in corporate video production:
- Purpose and Target Audience: Corporate videos are made with a specific goal in mind, such as advertising, training, or corporate communication. The target audience can be internal (employees, shareholders) or external (customers, partners). Corporate videos often reflect the company’s brand mission, vision, and values.
- Pre-production and Planning: This phase involves conceptualizing the video: We write scripts, plan the budget, and organize schedules. We outline the main story, storytelling methods, and create a finalized storyboard and outline for the shoot dates. Creative direction is laid out, and crew size, equipment, location, and final budget is all okayed.
- Production: During production, the actual filming takes place. We set decorate, light the scene, make sure the atmosphere is right for the sound & mics, and then direct actors or on-screen talent. We always use the highest standard equipment for our video projects. On a medium sized corporate video set is typically a Director, Cinematographer, and at least one or two additional crew members assisting. On lower budget shoots, it may only be one or two crew members.
- Post-production: After filming, our editors get to work on the footage. We assemble shots, add music and voice-overs, and applying visual effects or animations if necessary. The goal is to create a cohesive and engaging final product, and we do that through constant communication with your team, throughout the process.
- Distribution: The completed video is then distributed by your team or marketing/advertising agency. This could be on your company’s website, social media sites, email marketing, or a multitude of other channels.
- Types of Corporate Videos: There are many types of corporate videos, such as explainer videos, product demos, training videos, customer testimonials, event coverage, and corporate documentaries.
